Rape suspect claims his ‘other personality' had consensual sex
PROVO, Utah (ABC4 News) – A man accused of rape is blaming his actions on multiple personality disorder.
Dillon Price, 24, of Lawton, Okla., was charged with one count of rape, a first-degree felony.
Provo police said on December 10, Price raped a woman despite her repeatedly telling him no and trying to push him off her.
According to a probable cause statement, Price held the woman down by her throat and he threatened to grab several knives he brought with him if she said anything.
When investigators interviewed Dillon, he initially told them he didn’t remember anything from the day before. Later on, in the interview, he told police he has multiple personalities.
Another personality which Price reportedly identified as "Edmond" told him he had consensual sex with the victim.
Charging documents indicate Price wrote an apology letter to the victim the next day saying that he was “sorry for not being able to stop Edmond from what he did.”
Price was booked into the Utah County Jail on $20,000 cash-only bail.
