Propane tanker and freight train collide

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) A crash involving a propane tanker and a freight train shut the road down Wednesday morning.

It happened in the area of 1950 West 500 South at about 5:30.

Lt. Mike Ross with the Salt Lake City Police Department told News4Utah the driver of the propane tanker was trying to weave his way through the crossing arms and didn’t see the train before the crash occurred. 

The propane tank was empty and no injuries were reported, according to Lt. Ross.
