LEHI, Utah (News4Utah) – A Utah County woman has been arrested for driving under the influence after causing a head-on crash in Lehi Sunday night that injured another driver, according to police.
Lehi police said they were called to a crash with injuries just before 10 p.m. at 2100 N. State Street. When officers arrived, one of the drivers, later identified as Anna Savage of Lehi was disoriented and confused about what had just happened.
Police said while in the ambulance, Savage admitted to medics she had eaten edible THC and drank a fifth of alcohol. A field sobriety test was given that Savage failed and a strong odor of alcohol came from the woman.
Savage hit another vehicle head-on at nearly 55 mph said officers. The driver of the other car had to be extricated and was transported to the hospital. Their condition is not immediately known.
In a records check, police found Savage has two prior convictions for DUI and one conviction for impaired driving.
Savage was then booked into the Utah County Jail.
