MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4 News) – Unified Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two theft suspects.

Police said on December 9, 2018, during the overnight hours a family had several items stolen from the trunk of a vehicle parked in the area of 200 East Hill Drive.

One of the items taken was a Nintendo Switch. Police say the victim couple had been paying for it on layaway for several months to give it to their 6-year-old for Christmas.

A couple of days later the Nintendo was returned to the Walmart in Taylorsville for cash.

Police are releasing several photos of the suspects with the hope that someone can help identify them. The female suspect is seen walking into the store carrying the Nintendo and the male suspect is seen returning the device with the woman by his side.

The detective investigating the case contacted Nintendo, who in turn provided the family with a new console.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Unified Police Department at 801-840-4000.
