MAGNA, Utah (ABC4 News) – Authorities are looking for a man suspected of holding a woman and her child inside a Magna home against their will for six days.
According to Sgt. Melody Gray, Unified Police, the woman escaped from the home Monday morning and went to the hospital and called police.
Police went to the home where they thought 29-year-old Elias Christopher Lorenzo Garcia was still at. A containment was set up but once officers breached the home and searched inside, they discovered Garcia had already left.
Gray said the woman was checked out at the hospital and was treated for minor injuries. She has since been released. The child was not injured.
Police are still looking for Garcia.
