Police search for suspects after hit and run in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE. Utah (ABC4 News) – Unified Police are looking for two suspects after a crash in a residential area early Monday morning.

Officer J. Cardon with the Unified Police Department says the crash happened near 4800 South and 3600 West in Taylorsville.

Cardon says the driver of the car swerved into the shoulder of the northbound lane while traveling on 4800 South. After the driver swerved they crashed into a powerline and a fire hydrant, stopping on the hood of a parked car.

Officials say they are searching for the two suspects who left the scene on foot.

North and southbound lanes on 3600 West at 4800 South will be closed until 7 a.m. Monday. Avoid area if possible.
