Police remind residents to lock cars after rise in theft

CLEARFIELD, Utah (News4Utah) – Amid an increase of theft, police in Clearfield are reminding residents to lock their vehicles.

Police in Clearfield say they’ve seen an increase in vehicle thefts and burglaries in the south Clearfield neighborhoods.

A post on social media from the city suggests that in several of these case, keys were left in an unattended vehicle.

Police are hoping to catch the person or persons responsible. If you see something, say something. You can call 801.525. 2806 to report suspicious activity.
