WEST VALLEY CITY (ABC4 News)- Police in West Valley have new information into the investigation of the death of a 15-year-old boy.

Tuesday afternoon 15-year-old Marquez Grajeda was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head.

Grajeda was reportedly visiting a home near at 1300 West 2300 South with several teenaged friends when the shooting happened. Detectives interviewed the people inside the home at the time for more information.

On Thursday, investigators revealed updates on the case.

They say they have recovered three guns related to the incident. They found a gun in a canal near 2700 South 1400 West. Officials say the gun was recovered by the Utah Highway Patrol dive team Thursday morning near the canal. They are performing tests on it to determine if it was the one used to shoot Grajeda.

There is no evidence to indicate that the recovered gun belongs to anyone in the home where the shooting occurred, according to police.

The other two guns came from inside the home. One has been identified as the homeowner’s, the other owner has not been identified.

Officials are still investigating the incident.

This is developing story. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
