Police: Pair arrested after fleeing from officers in stolen vehicle

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – Two people were arrested after police said they fled from officers in a stolen vehicle.

Detectives were investigating a burglary Thursday afternoon and saw a vehicle believed to be linked to the crime in the area.

Officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the car fled from detectives. The car was eventually found unoccupied a short time later.

Investigators determined it had been stolen. Witnesses in the area directed officers to the driver and the passenger of the vehicle and both were taken into custody.

Adrian Hugar, 30, was booked into jail on charges of fleeing, possession of a stolen vehicle and various warrants.

Bruna Machado, 18, was booked into jail on possession of stolen credit cards and paraphernalia.
