SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Utah) – A man robbed a Maverik gas station on 900 East in Salt Lake City and then attempted to rob a 7-11 on 300 West later on, police said.
The suspect was caught after the 7-11 clerk called the police, spooking the suspect into running out of the store. The clerk followed him out and was able to tell police where he was. The suspect was arrested near 200 West.
The name of the suspect so far has not been released, but police said in both instances, he showed a gun to the clerks of the convenience stores.
Police were busy Thursday trying to figure out if the suspect was involved in other convenience store robberies throughout the valley in the last few weeks.
