Police: Man stabbed during altercation behind popular Salt Lake City nightclub

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Police are investigating after a man was stabbed during an altercation behind a busy night club in downtown Salt Lake City Saturday night.

Salt Lake City Police said they were called to Gracie’s located at 326 S. West Temple around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a stabbing in the parking lot directly west of the club. 

When police arrived, they found one of the employees had been stabbed in the back after he was followed out to his car by three suspects. The victim was stabbed during a verbal altercation of some sort. 

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police said they believe the men may know each other and the altercation was due to a history between them but the incident is still under investigation and not all the details are known.
