WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – Four LDS Missionaries were robbed at gun point by an alleged intoxicated man Friday night in West Jordan.

Sgt. Dan Roberts, West Jordan Police, said the men were approached by 25-year-old Michael Jon Willie, of Arizona, while they were at an apartment complex near Jordan Landing at 9:45 p.m. Willie had a gun and a knife and demanded cash from the men but they only had a debit card.

The men walked to the Exxon Gas Station located at 3731 W. Jordan Landing Blvd. and got $20 cash back from the cashier and gave it to him.

Roberts said the man didn’t go far, as he was apprehended at the gas station while asking another customer for cigarettes.

Police recovered both the knife and the hand gun.

Willie was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on charges of first-degree felony robbery and kidnapping as well as misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed loaded firearm, carrying a dangerous weapon under the influence, threat-use of a dangerous weapon in a fight and intoxication.
