WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – A 63-year-old man was charged for allegedly sexually assaulting his home health aide who was trying to assist him with a shower.
According to charging documents, the aide reported to police that on Feb 1 she went to the apartment of Jeffrey Lloyd Twiggs in West Jordan to help assist him with a shower.
The woman said she knocked on the Twigg’s door and he told her to come in.
When she entered the apartment, Twiggs was naked on his recliner and watching pornography. Twiggs asked the woman to help him use a sex toy, but she said she ignored him and proceeded to assist him with his shower, documents state.
According to charging documents, the aide said during the shower, Twiggs asked her to touch his privates, which she said she also ignored.
After dressing the man, she helped him back to his recliner and as he sat down, he wrapped his arm around her waist and held her down while using his other hand to sexually assault her, documents state.
The woman said she tried several times to stand up, but Twiggs would hold her and prevent her from getting away.
The aide said she was only able to get away from him by agreeing to perform a sex act on him if he went into the bedroom, according to charges.
Once Twiggs released his grip on her waist, she ran out of the apartment.
Twiggs was charged Wednesday with first-degree felony object rape, two counts second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse and one count misdemeanor lewdness.
A background check of Twiggs shows he was arrested in 2013 for assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct and in lewdness in 2001.
