Police looking for suspect after stabbing in Millcreek

MILLCREEK (News4Utah)- Police are looking for a man accused of stabbing another man at an apartment complex Friday morning.

Investigators say 28-year-old Ezra “Risky” Hernandez stabbed the 24-year-old victim in the arm and chest around 5:30 a.m. at the Dominguez Park Apartments located at 3970 South 700 West.

“The suspect and victim were having an argument inside an apartment when [Hernandez] pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim,” Lt. Brian Lohrke with Unified Police Department said.

Hernandez took off on foot. Lt. Lohrke said he was last seen wearing a dark blue or black sweatshirt.

Lt. Lohrke said Hernandez is believed to be homeless and still possibly in possession of a knife. He reportedly has a history of assault, theft, and drugs.

The victim is expected to survive.
