SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police are looking for a man who pointed a gun at a woman at the Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City Sunday morning.

Police said earlier in the morning a man driving a white Mercedes wagon pulled into the Jewish Community Center and pointed what was believed to be a handgun at a female getting out of a car in the front parking area.

“The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating the incident and reports that the man was last seen at 3300 South and I-15. Out of an abundance of caution, we are alerting campus to this incident,” police said in a statement.

The suspect is described as a male adult (race unknown), 30 to 35 years old, with curly, brown hair. He was wearing a brown jacket.

The car has a Utah arches license plate on the back, no front license plate, tinted windows and a sunroof.

Police are asking anybody with information to call the University Police Department dispatch at 801-585-2677.

Campus police want to remind everyone to always be aware of their surroundings and to immediately report any suspicious persons or activities on campus.
