Police investigating robberies at two different 7-Eleven stores Tuesday morning

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (News4utah) – Police are looking for suspects involved in armed robberies at two different 7- Elevens early Tuesday morning.

The first one happened near 6400 west and 4100 south just before 2 a.m. West Valley City police said the suspect entered the store and pulled out a small silver handgun, demanding money from the clerk.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as 5 foot 4 inches white man with a thin build, he was wearing a brown hoodie, tan pants and a mask.

The second robbery was at 6215 South Dixie Drive about an hour later, according to the West Jordan Police. 

The suspect walked into the 7- Eleven and asked to get some cigarettes, when he was asked for his  ID he pulled out his gun and said: “this is my ID.”

He was able to get away with two packs of cigarettes but no money was taken, officials said.

The suspect in the second robbery was described as an average male in a blue bandana. 

Nobody was injured in either incident. Police are working to get information about whether they’re connected.
