KEARNS, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police are investigating after a man was shot following an argument Saturday morning in Kearns.
According to dispatch, the 24-year-old man was shot near 4700 South and 4800 West around 10:30 a.m.
As the victim was being transported by family to the hospital, dispatch requested they pull over. The family stopped on the corner of 4100 South and 4800 West and met with an ambulance who transported the victim to Jordan Valley West Hospital.
Lt. Brian Lohrke, Unified Police, said from what they know, the victim got into an argument with another male at a job site when he was shot in the ankle. The suspect is described as Hispanic male, 5 feet 5 inches with a mustache and a stocky build.
