Police investigate threat against North Ogden City Council

North Ogden Police are investigating a threat that was made against the North Ogden City Council Tuesday night.

According to a police report, an unknown male called Weber Dispatch twice on Tuesday night and threatened the safety of the city council meeting. Police say he did not make specific threats but did say he would use guns and explosives in the attack.

Officers from North Ogden, Harrisville City and Pleasant View City responded to the city building and after evacuating the council inspected the building for safety. No threats were found. As a precaution, a security officer from McKay Dee Hospital responded with his explosives detecting k9 who also found no threats.

North Ogden Police are continuing to investigate the calls.
