Motorcyclist injured in Box Elder crash

UPDATE (10:50 pm) – Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened on SR 126 near Smith and Edwards when a man from Weber County was headed south and was riding too fast as he entered a curve.

Losing control at the curve, the rider hit the median in the center of the roadway and was thrown from the bike.

The man was not wearing a helmet. He was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

BOX ELDER, Utah (ABC4) – Crews are rushing to the scene of a motorcycle crash located in Box Elder County.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation, on July 11, lanes in both directions on Highway 126 at US 89 are closed.

Crews say the estimated time for clearance is around 5:34 p.m.

It is unknown at this time how many people are involved in this crash, and if there are any reported injuries.
