Police identify woman shot, killed in Sandy

UPDATE 3/13/19 – Police have identified the woman killed after being shot in Sandy as 36-year-old Maureen Fiore.

Sgt. Jason Nielsen said the 38-year-old man who was also shot is currently in critical but stable condition.

SANDY, Utah (ABC4 News) – UPDATE: Sandy police say the female victim in a Tuesday night shooting has passed away.

Sandy police are investigating a shooting Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a shooting near 11190 S. Hawkwood Drive.

Sandy police Sgt. Jason Nielsen said there was “very limited information,” but confirmed that two victims were taken to the hospital.

Their condition was not known.

Police said they did not have a suspect in custody.
