BRIGHAM CITY (ABC4 News) Crews were on scene fixing a gas leak Tuesday evening after police said a driver hit a meter.

Brigham City police said they received a report about a reckless driver in the area of 300 South 400 West.

When officers responded and activated their lights, police said the driver took off around a corner and lost control of his vehicle. According to Brigham City Police Lt. Ferderber, the male driver hit the gas meter and an adjacent house.

Lt. Federber said the meter took the brunt of the impact from the crash, and there was little or no damage to the house.

Police said the driver was arrested but taken to the hospital for an evaluation. He sustained very minor injuries in the crash, police said.
