SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) Pink Park City is headed back to Utah for the second year in a row.

Event Manager Porter Sproul joined ABC4 News at 4 to talk about the charity event held by the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

The successful inaugural event last spring raised $80,000. This ski day to conquer cancer will be held at Park City Mountain’s Canyon Village on Saturday, March 23, and 100 percent of the funds raised will benefit vital research for all types of cancer at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Goals for 2019 are to raise $150,000 with 600 participants. The all-day event covers Park City Mountain in pink by way of hundreds of skiers in over-the-top costumes, multiple lodge deck parties, giveaways, and live music.

Fundraising through events like Pink Park City is essential to Huntsman Cancer Institute’s efforts to advance cancer research and develop safer, less toxic treatments.
