BOUNTIFUL, Utah (News4Utah) – Police are still looking for a suspect who is believed to be armed and dangerous after an attempted robbery Friday morning at a Bountiful pawn shop.

Another suspect was shot and killed by an employee after a brief scuffle at Bountiful Pawn.

Police are still searching the area they say the suspect ran in two different directions before jumping in a white SUV with Colorado plates and fleeing the scene. The investigation is still underway, but police are asking the public to keep an eye out for the suspect.

Surveillance photos appear to show the man with a mustache and wearing black pants and shoes. He is believed to be traveling in a white 2005 Saturn Vue with license plate BMT182.

Employees who were working next door at DC Customz said they didn’t hear the gunshot but knew something was happening when police started arriving on scene.

“We saw a cop kind of turn around. We thought he was pulling someone over. Next thing you know he stops in traffic and hops out with his gun and that’s when we realized something serious is going on,” said Teddy Voris, witness.

Another employee believes he saw the suspect speeding through their parking lot in the white SUV.

If you see that man or suspect you are urged to call police but don’t approach him because he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bountiful Police Department at 801-298-6000.

Bountiful Police share update on the investigation. They say the suspects are wanted for robberies in at least one other state: Oklahoma.
