SANDY (ABC4 News) – Three hundred and fifty elementary school students from across the state met Tuesday to continue their leadership program: Playworks.

The students receive leadership training like conflict resolution and communication from coaches and are then tasked with passing that training down to their fellow students.

Playworks is a national organization that aims to build children up through play, teaching skills they will use for the rest of their lives. The Junior Coaches become leaders and mentors on campus, as well as effectively reducing bullying.

Playworks is in hundreds of schools across the state; to find out how to bring them to your school visit their website
