Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Orem

OREM, Utah (ABC4 News) – Orem police are asking help from the public as part of the investigation on the shooting death of Provo Police Officer Joseph Shinners.

In a post on their Facebook, they asked for any witnesses to the events in the Lowes/Bed Bath and Beyond parking lot on the night in question, to please get a hold of them.

“We have spoken with a number of witnesses and we received a cell phone video of the incident already,” said the post. “We understand that many people saw a lot of cop cars and flashing lights but we are only looking for those who had a closer view or heard specific things being shouted.”

Provo and Orem officers responded to that location on Jan 5 when they received word that a wanted fugitive was in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dispatch at 801-229-7070 and ask for Detective Locke.
