Ogden man busted in child exploitation sting

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News)- A 31-year-old Ogden man was arrested after he showed up to a location expecting to meet a 13-year-old for oral sex, police records state.

That man, Dylan Robert Allred, was arrested on February 21st.

Charging documents state he contacted an undercover detective on a social media app. During the conversation, Allred mentioned he “wanted to watch porn” and perform other acts on the detective, records state.

“[The detective] told Allred that he was 13 years old and Allred stated he was okay with that,” documents state.

The two then planned to meet up.

Once Allred arrived, he was taken into custody and has since been charged with enticing a minor by internet or text and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Allred is the son of well-known radio DJ Bill Allred. According to his personal Facebook page, he is also an employee with the radio station.

He is scheduled to be in court on March 15th.

An official spokesperson with Broadway Media, the parent company of X96, sent ABC4 News the following statement:

Broadway Media was made aware of the charges against Dylan Allred on February 22, 2019. He was immediately placed on unpaid leave. Because this is an ongoing police investigation, we have no further comment.
