OGDEN, Utah (News4Utah) – Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind is celebrating an artistic accomplishment by first grader Bryson Chadwick who is a student at the school’s Ogden campus.

Bryson entered the “Happy Hands” contest to create a drawing that will be used on soap dispensers to help children learn the importance of washing hands. Bryson was named the grand prize winner after an online vote!

School administrators and staff surprised Bryson and the other students with the prize at an assembly Monday afternoon.

“We are so happy for Bryson. What an excellent achievement. This is yet another great example of how blind and sight impaired students may not be able to see perfectly, but they sure have wonderful vision!,” said Superintendent Joel Coleman.
