Officials bust 3 Hondurans for narcotic ring in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- An immigration hold was placed on three people from Honduras after state officials busted them for distributing narcotics in the Salt Lake Valley.

The bust was the 23rd search warrant served as part of Operation Rio Grande. 

Agents with the Utah Department of Public Safety and State Bureau of Investigation say they conducted an investigation into the group and were able to serve a search warrant at a home in the Glendale are Tuesday.

Officials say they seized half an ounce of heroin and an ounce of cocaine.

They also found packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and $871 in cash.

The names of the three arrested have not been released.
