Officer Cody Brotherson honored one year after his death

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- West Valley Police are hosting a memorial ceremony honoring officer Cody Brotherson Monday night. One year ago, he was killed in the line of duty.

The ceremony will include a flag ceremony and free hot chocolate. There will be displays in memory of him including patrol car and lighted luminaries.
 

Brotherson’s mother is also expected to give a brief speech.

The event is free and open to the public. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Fairbourne Station Plaza located at 2810 West 3590 South.
