HOLLADAY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- School officials decided to bring recess indoors after spotting a cougar behind the woods at Oakridge Elementary.
Granite School District said everyone is safe and accounted for but as a precaution they will keep students inside. “As we get closer to the end of school, we will have more information on how pick up is to occur based on whether animal control is able to find the animal,” school officials said.
As of 2:20 p.m. school officials said the cougar had not been spotted by DWR. They are letting children out at their normal time, but “only with parental supervision” .
