North Salt Lake police looking for armed robbery suspect

NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC4 News) – North Salt Lake City police are on the hunt for a suspect in an armed robbery.

The police department says on Thursday morning, at 2:30 a.m., a man walked into the Maverik store at 800 West Center Street, armed with a black handgun.

Officials say the suspect demanded money from the cash register, as well as the clerk’s wallet and cell phone. The clerk gave the man what he wanted, and after taking the money, wallet and phone, the suspect ran away from the area, police say.

The suspect is described as a white male and was last seen wearing a blue hoodie with grey pants. He was also wearing ski goggles and a mask that covered his face.
