Non-profit awards Utah students with college scholarships

Midvale, UT (News4Utah) Eight students in the Canyons School District now have more money to help them as they move on to college. Thursday night at the Canyons Education Foundation Gala – seven students were presented checks for $1,000. And one student was presented a $2,500 scholarship. 

The money comes from the Canyons Education Foundation fundraising events – like the gala and golf tournaments – and donations. 

The annual event was held at Midvale Midde School.
