No chance of ‘Thunder’ this weekend in SLC

Local News
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – The Utah Jazz return home to Salt Lake City where they will host the Oklahoma City Thunder for games three and four of the NBA Playoffs.
Game three takes place on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and game four will be played on Monday at 8:30 p.m.
Frank Zang, the spokesperson for the Utah Jazz told News4Utah’s Brittany Johnson that there’s no better time than when the team is in the playoffs.
“It unifies the state and we believe it’s a very special occasion as well,” said Zang.
And as the Jazz gear up to take on the Thunder, Zang says the Jazz organization has been busy getting things ready for the fans.
“This is Utah’s team,” he said.
For that reason, and for the first time, a corporate partner — Zions Bank — is fully supporting the Utah Jazz playoff run, adding an extra level of fan engagement in the playoffs with special outdoor and in-arena experiences.
A “Fan Fest” will be held on the plaza of Vivint Smart Home Arena, starting two hours before tip-off. Customized sneaker artist Salvador Amezcua, known as Kickstradomis, will be painting a special Jazz-themed shoe for a fan giveaway. The Utah Jazz television broadcast set, featuring Alema Harrington and Thurl Bailey, will be relocated to the plaza. Jazz playoff apparel and merchandise will be available in a pop-up Utah Jazz Team Store. Additional areas will have a beer garden, face painters, balloon artists, sign makers and DJ music.
When fans walk into the arena and take their seats, they’ll be welcomed to the popular City Edition T-shirts that match the court and player jerseys.
