SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- It’s no secret nonprofit organizations rely heavily on the hard work of volunteers. On Friday, employees at Nexstar Media Group stations, the ownership company of News4Utah will spend the day giving back to organizations that gives so much to our community.

We call the event the Founders Day of Caring. On Friday the ABC4 Utah team will volunteer at two local organizations: Camp Kostopolus and the Utah Food Bank.

Camp K was designed to provide opportunities for children and adults of all abilities. Since it opened 50 years ago, it has served thousands. Our team will be working with campers and doing some maintenance around the camp.

Our team is also joining in the Utah Food Bank’s mission of fighting hunger statewide. We’ll be helping sort food donations, assemble food boxes, and any other work that needs to be done.

The Utah Food Bank distributes foods free-of-charge to a network of 149 partner agencies throughout the state. Click here to get involved.
