News4Utah team helps skunk with cup stuck on his head

Local News

Our station’s resident skunk, Pepe Le Pewtah, got himself into a situation over the weekend.

The poor little guy got his head stuck inside of a yogurt cup. Pepe was running around in circles and bumping into things for hours. Not to mention the fact that he couldn’t eat.

The News4Utah team jumped into action and attempted to free the little guy (without getting sprayed).

Rick Aaron tried to use a brush to push the cup off of his head, but when that didn’t work Alana Brophy and photographer Jesse Valdez jumped into action.

The cornered Pepe underneath one of our news cars while Rick held him at bay with the broom. Jesse snatched the cup off of his and little Pepe is good as new.

The best part: nobody got sprayed.
