A new program in Utah is set to help educators, public servants, veterans, military members and construction workers become new homeowners.
Ivory Homes set up the new program, the ‘Utah Workforce Housing Priority’ to help those in public service buy a home.
In a recent report from the University of Utah, only 8.8 percent of housing options in 2017 were affordable to a first time public school teacher or a similar public service professional.
Ivory Homes will be giving home buyers $2,000 towards items such as a washer and dryer, refrigerator, window coverings or other options.
