New arcade bar brings shot of playfulness to downtown Salt Lake City

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah)- A new arcade bar is now open in Salt Lake City.

Quarters Arcade Bar is in the same building as the Old Manhattan Club (5 East 400 South).

The owner says he saw a similar concept in San Diego and wanted to bring it to Salt Lake City.

He says it took three years to build because of the age of the building and all the remodeling they had to do.

The owner says the bar is here for one reason: to show people a good time.

“It’s good to see people smiling and playing and having fun that’s what we want,” said Michael Eccleston. “It’s all of the good things about an arcade and all of the good things about a bar combined together. Basically, it’s just a lot of fun. It’s allowing adults to be kids and be playful and fun. We try to reflect our playfulness in our cocktail menu and the drinks that we offer.”

The arcade games range from the 1980s, 90s and even today. Eccleston says the bar will have a calender on its website, so people can keep track of all their events.
