Nevada police arrest suspects for transporting ‘large’ amounts of illegal marijuana

MESQUITE, Nev. (ABC4 News) – Police in Mesquite, Nevada arrested two men on drug trafficking charges. 

On January 8, around 3 a.m., a Mesquite police officer stopped a car for a traffic violation on Interstate 15.

Police said the officer “observed evidence the occupants were involved in trafficking illegal drugs” and began an investigation. 

 A subsequent search of the car yielded almost 60 pounds of marijuana buds and more than 50 pounds of concentrated THC marijuana oils, and edible candies.

Anthony Huynh, 21, and Jordan Johnson, 24, of Illinois, were arrested on felony charges of trafficking marijuana and marijuana concentrate.

Both suspects were transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
