WEST VALLEY CITY (ABC4 News)- Nearly 20 cars were involved in a pileup on SR-201 Thursday evening.
In total, 16 cars were involved: one four-car crash, three two -car crashes, and two three-car crashes.
Troopers say there were no injuries.
“Everybody is in a hurry and sometimes we need to realize that even if the roadway just appears wet, we should probably go slower than the posted speed limit,” Sgt. Nick Street, spokesperson with the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Before this pileup was reported officials had responded to 154 crashes.
Sgt. Street said nearly all of those crashes were due to people driving too fast for conditions or following too closely.
