SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – History fans explore the Natural History Museum of Utah’s 1.6 million specimens on display during the annual Behind the Scenes event.
The public was able to tour seldom-seen specimens in the Museum’s state-of-the-art collections.
Researchers and curators were on hand Saturday and Sunday to explain the significance of the collections and answer questions.
The museum also held tours for the plant biodiversity of Utah with the Herbarium. The tour explored how humans can “optimize” biodiversity and the role museums play in documenting the massive variety of life found on Earth.
