Natural gas leak impacts traffic in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – Several businesses and homes were evacuated due to a natural gas leak Tuesday afternoon.

Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to the leak at 2100 South 2150 East. A portion of 2100 South was blocked for several hours due to the incident.

Dominion Energy responded, shut off the affected line and began work on the repair. Salt Lake fire officials did know exactly when the repairs would be completed. 

The public was asked to avoid the area while crews worked.
