MURRAY (News4Utah)- The Relay For Life of Murray Park kicks off Friday at 6 p.m.
Meteorologist Dan Pope has a preview of all of the fun.
The event runs from 6 p.m. until Saturday at 6 a.m.
This year there will be an opening ceremony to honor cancer survivors and a luminaria ceremony to remember those who have died.
Individuals and teams will take turns walking or running around a path at the park to remember those who lost their lives to cancer and honor survivors. Teams must have one participant on the track at all times.
Around midnight there is a special 5K planned for kids and participants. There will be free glow prizes and swag awards to the top male and female finishers. In addition, each participant will receive a medal and hope sock.
If you can’t make it out for the relay or 5K, you can run virtually!
