MAGNA, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Multiple people were arrested during a SWAT standoff in Magna after an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The Unified Police Department, with assistance from SWAT, served a search warrant at a home located at 9200 West 2903 South at 3:00 a.m. Thursday. Officers had reason to believe there were narcotics inside the home where multiple fugitives may have frequented.

According to Lt. Jason Ackerman with the Unified Police Department, 9 out of the 12 adults inside were arrested. He said at first some of the suspects weren’t cooperating, so they had to use pepper spray to get them out. Those suspects were treated medically before being booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.

Animal services had to be called to the home because there were multiple dogs inside.

No one was injured in the standoff. Investigators say the home is now “closed to occupancy”.
