SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- The intersection of 1700 South and 900 West was closed for several hours Tuesday morning after a deadly crash.

Police say 32-year-old Johnathan Burgess and a woman were riding a motorcycle at the intersection around 7:00 a.m. when they were hit by an SUV. 

Burgess died on scene the female passenger was transported to the hospital.

Officials say one of the drivers appears to have ran a red light, but they aren’t sure which one. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
