Missing man with schizophrenia found

UPDATE 5/30: Thursday morning police said Owens was found and is safe.


MIDVALE, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Unified Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing endangered adult.

Police say Darrel Lance Owens was last seen at his group home near 663 East Acoma Rd. in Midvale at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28th.

Owens is said to have diabetes and schizophrenia and is without his medication. Police say he was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and a gray baseball cap.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Owens is asked to contact the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
