Missing Duchesne County man found safe in Summit County

UPDATE: Officials say Garold Walker has been found safe.

He was found by a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper in Summit County walking home, according to officials. 

They say Walker has been checked out by medical personnel and is now in the process of being united with his family. 


WEST HAVEN, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Weber County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to find a missing person from West Haven.

79-year-old, Garold Walker, is missing from 1399 West 2100 South. in West Haven. He is 6’0”, 140 pounds and he has gray hair and a gray mustache.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office says that Saturday morning, at 1:30 a.m., Garold told his wife he was headed home and walked out of their camp trailer. The couple, who are from Duchesne County, were staying in the Century RV Park in West Haven while attending a family member’s graduation. Garold, officials say, has not been seen since.

The Sheriff’s Office tells ABC4 News that Garold, who is not familiar with the surrounding area, does have some memory loss issues, as well as hearing loss. We know that Garold was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, black t-shirt, and black pants.
