GREEN RIVER (ABC4 News) – Two men are dead after a head-on collision on Highway 6 Friday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. near the Interstate 70 junction in Green River.

Troopers said a westbound Ford F150 and eastbound Toyota Camry crashed head-on.  The driver of the Camry, identified as Jim R. Nelson, 37, of Price, died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford truck, William James T. Palmer, 33, of Moab, was taken by ambulance, but also succumbed to his injuries.

Troopers said fog was moderate at the time of the crash and likely contributed to the crash.

Investigators are using a drone to diagram the scene to help them better reconstruct what happened to cause the crash.
