SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- An upcoming event will give those who have lost someone to domestic violence the opportunity to connect with their loved ones.
Medium Cheryl Phillips will be doing readings for people during the “The Other Side” fundraiser.
Casey Baird from KBER 101.1 FM is hosting the event put on by Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence (BTSADV).
Four years ago, Baird’s daughter Tawnee was stabbed to death by her girlfriend 46 times. Baird says two days after the murder his daughter’s best friend went to Phillips for a reading and was able to connect.
“I didn’t believe in mediums until I went and my daughter came through for me,” he said, “It surely helped me a lot. It saved my life!”
The event is 4 p.m. on October 21st at the AC Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown located at 225 West 200 South.
Admission is $46, dollar for every time Tawnee was stabbed.
Funds raised will go toward the 2019 BTSADV Angel Scholarship Program.
