McAdams: Operation Rio Grande is changing lives

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams is thanking the legislature for their help in Operation Rio Grande.

Mayor McAdams showed lawmakers the operation’s progress at the Capitol Thursday. One man who was arrested when the operation started says it has changed his life.

“When I came out to the program I knew I would change and do whatever it takes,” said Mikhail Kotlov.

He says he now has a job and his own place.

A goal of the operation is to help the homeless get a job, but many didn’t have the proper attire, so members of the legislature stepped up and donated their ties.
