OGDEN, Utah (News4Utah) – One man is dead in Ogden and police say they are still looking for the shooter.
Ogden police said there was a shooting on the 600 block of 23rd St. When officers arrived, they found a man in his mid-20s who had been shot in the parking lot of an apartment building.
The victim was treated by paramedics and taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.
He has since been identified as Denero Lamar Snider, 23.
“What we’re dealing with right now is a homicide investigation,” said Lt. Mike Boone with Ogden Police Department.

Police say the suspect(s) have not been caught. Weber County Critical Incident Task Force, Ogden investigators, and CSI remain on scene, following up on leads and possible suspect information.
So far, police say it appears to be an isolated incident involving acquaintances.
“There is no known threat to the general public,” said Ogden police in a news release.
